The privacy of all our clients and website visitors is of paramount importance to us. This policy explains how we collect, record and manage information that could be used to identify you. Our company adheres to the National Privacy Principles and the Privacy Act 1988 (Cth).

Types of personal and business (company) information we collect 

When dealing with our clients, we generally collect your name, address, telephone number, and other contact details. Depending whether you are buying or leasing an ATM machine, we may also collect and update personal/company information and other information necessary to process your ATM buyer or renter application, such as Australian Business Number, bank account details, and basic financial information about your credit worthiness and credit history. Also for our referral program, we may ask you for your name, business name, contact details and bank account details in order to expedite your payment in case of a successful referral. We also record information about the status of your ATM customer application form and the transactions you make or wish to make with our company.

We do not collect any sensitive information (such as relating to gender, ethnic origin, religious or philosophical beliefs, membership of a political or trade organization, sexual orientation, health state, etc.).

Why we collect personal and company information? 

We collect, update and use only such personal and company information so we can carry on our normal business, including:

  • to process your ATM customer application form;
  • to provide requested ATM maintenance services to you;
  • for research and development of new services;
  • to communicate our marketing offers to you. We do not give or sell the information you give us to any third parties.
  • to meet our legal obligations.
How we collect information? 

Generally, we collect personal or business information concerning you or your company directly from you, such as when you apply for or request a product or service, in response to our mail or email marketing campaigns, or when you have other dealings with us. We also may collect basic information about you from our referrers. We may collect information about you over the phone or internet, in person (when our sales agents visit you) and when you write to us.

 We may also collect personal information through third parties such as:

  • Veda Advantage or any other credit reporting agency, when you apply to buy or rent an ATM machine and related services;
  • A business that provides commercial credit worthiness information;
  • Referrers, when they refer your business to us.
  • Publicly available sources of information.
How we store information? 
We store personal information in a combination of secure computers and paper based files and other records. Only authorised employees of our company have access to this information. We have taken a number of steps to protect the personal and business information we hold from misuse, loss, modification and disclosure. We use generally accepted technology and security so that we are satisfied that your information is transmitted safely to us through the internet or other electronic means. We will take reasonable steps to securely destroy your information when we no longer need it.
When we may disclose your personal or company information? 

We may disclose information about you in the following circumstances:

  • Where we have contracted third parties to provide you with finance or ATM maintenance services;
  • To comply with our legal obligations;

We also may disclose personal information about you in the following circumstances:

  • To our commercial legal representative MK Lawyers, credit reporting and debt collection agencies in connection with us providing credit to you or recovering from you amounts that you owe under any contract you have with us.

In these instances, we only provide that information to outside contractors that they need to perform their services for which they have been contracted by us. The Privacy Act also strictly controls the information we exchange with credit reporting agencies.

 

Accessing your personal information 
 Following a request, we will provide you with a copy of the information we hold about you in accordance with our obligations under the Privacy We may charge a fee for retrieving this information. Please note that under certain circumstances set out in the Privacy Act we may refuse your request.
